Watch: Here's why Trump wants Greenland, and why Europe is just gonna have to deal with it

President Trump has made it clear he has not given up on his quest for Greenland. Today’s show breaks it down.
The United States is still footing the bill for NATO, while European countries brag about their socialized institutions.
“How about you actually honor your contract first because we are still footing the bill for security?” Crowder said. “They took advantage of the United States. They knew that we would pay the bill and that they could enjoy some luxuries that we don't. But now Europe is going to take security seriously.”
Now that the United States has realized that since they are footing the bill to secure the world, and has decided we should be the ones who have a say in how that is conducted, Europe has decided to take this seriously. Most sensible people can agree that until Europe starts putting in its fair share, they have no say in the rules.
“I think we should put Greenland on layaway. Greenland is ours because we are basically footing the bill for everything. Once you meet your payments, we have Greenland because it's a matter of national security. Once they meet their backpay with interest, then we can split it. Then we can be in alliance, but right now they are not being one.”
This is also not the first administration to acknowledge this problem.
According to CATO:
To be sure, American officials whined and complained about NATO allies preferring butter to guns. Robert Gates gave a particularly surly valedictory speech suggesting that the system was unsustainable: “The blunt reality is that there will be dwindling appetite and patience in the U.S. Congress—and in the American body politic writ large—to expend increasingly precious funds on behalf of nations that are apparently unwilling to devote the necessary resources or make the necessary changes to be serious and capable partners in their own defense.” However, the US public doesn’t make foreign policy, and the dirty secret was that Washington’s elite enjoyed bossing the Europeans around, which was only possible by keeping them weak and dependent.
“They were unwilling to pay their fair share, banking on the United States to do it, and telling us how we should do it,” Crowder said.
This is why Trump is not giving up in this quest. According to Trump, “We have subsidized Denmark, and all of the Countries of the European Union, and others, for many years by not charging them Tariffs, or any other forms of remuneration. Now, after Centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back — World Peace is at stake! China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it.”
“We are the only ones who are going to be able to secure it. When we talk about China and Russia, you understand that these European allies are funding the empires that are our sworn enemies. They have paid more money for Russian energy than they have given to Ukraine,” Crowder said, adding that “if we are paying for the defense, why don't we get the benefit? That's you exploiting our good graces. If we are the de facto payers of the security, why don't we get to benefit from the vast mineral reserves?”
This is why the map of alliances is no longer working for the United States.
“It’s not us, it’s you. It doesn't mean it's the ideal, but what we are doing right now really does not sit well with me,” Crowder said. "You don't want Europe to live in a fantasy world and in a delusion until reality slaps them in the face. It's better for them to get spanked into reality, lovingly by someone who cares, than by someone who actually wants to conquer them."
