According to Sunny Hostin, “Equality feels much like oppression when you have always had the privilege of being ahead, even if you were mediocre.” The problem with this is that feelings are not facts, even though the left bases its entire ideology on ambiguous feelings.
This is also why she feels like Trump’s alleged “attack against diversity, equity, and inclusion is based on white male grievance, and the fact that Donald Trump seems to really believe in the concept of reverse discrimination.” She added that there is no "evidence" that White men suffered because of the Civil Rights Act.
The Civil Rights Act led to white people being “very badly treated,” President Donald Trump claimed in an interview with The New York Times.
“White people were treated very badly, where they did extremely well and they were not invited to go into a university to college,” Trump told The Times. “So I would say in that way, I think it was unfair in certain cases.”
“I think it was also, at the same time, it accomplished some very wonderful things, but it also hurt a lot of people — people that deserve to go to a college or deserve to get a job were unable to get a job," the president continued about the 1964 legislation that ended race-based discrimination and segregation.
Anyone with a fraction of a brain can understand what the president means here. What he is saying is that through affirmative action policies, racism was fueled in the opposite direction. Skin color was the deciding factor in many cases when it came to college admission, which was supposedly a way to correct national sins. The only problem with that is that you don't fight racism with more racism. If it was wrong to discriminate against Black people based on their skin color, the same is true for Whites. This is, in fact, racism. He did not mean that ending segregation was a bad thing, and it's disingenuous for the left to convey that message, as it's a reprehensible lie.
Trump added that it was “a reverse discrimination.” This means that they fought discrimination with discrimination. This is evil, and some legal scholars may even argue it is illegal. Nonetheless, equality cannot be racist because it treats all skin colors as the same. How is that so hard for the left to understand?
Whether Hostin understands that and is just a blatant liar, or she is truly that stupid, is up for you to decide. Nonetheless, both are equally reprehensible. We could say this was a nice try, but it was extremely pathetic, as the American people are no longer buying this nonsense. The sooner the ladies on “The View” realize that, the better off everyone will be.
