This may be an unpopular opinion on the right, but I don't want Ilhan Omar censured or expelled. I want her anti-American hate and rhetoric -- that all Democrats agree with, because if they don't denounce that means they condone (I don't make the rules) -- amplified and put into campaign ads. Plus, let's be honest, it's not like we're gonna get anyone better from Minneapolis anyway. However, this article is less about her disdain for the country she immigrated to as much as it is her being a chucklehead.

If we're being fair, I suppose we can't blame her for assuming NBC News would report accurate news. Hearing that ICE would use a five-year-old as bait is such an inflammatory accusation that a news network would have verified before running with this.

This led Omar to call for the abolition of ICE.

Here's the thing: There is a reason why I'm using screen captures and not embedding the X posts. As it turns out, in a rush to spear ICE and the Trump administration, NBC News got a few details wrong.

The criminal undocumented Democrat has already been arrested for domestic abuse, strangulation, and vandalizing property.

He's the one who abandoned the five-year-old, who was HIS DAUGHTER.

ICE officers helped rescue. the child, and call police to report she had been abandonded.

The criminal undocumented Democrat claimed otherwise, and NBC News ran with that story because it validated the political opinions of people like Ilhan Omar and those who work for NBC News.

The "news" network has since corrected its original reporting.

Apropos of nothing, this news is breaking as I'm about to hit the publish button.

Omar's tweet calling for ICE to be abolished based on fake news is still up, even though it's been clear that it was fake news since last night. I'm sure the congresswoman will clarify eventually.
