29-year-old female skateboarder Ricci Tres won a competition meant for children, beating out 13-year-old Shihloh Catori. If I left that sentence and walked away, you would say it was unfair and gross. But Ricci Tres is ackshually a trans woman who was born a man who beat out a 13-year-old in a skateboarding competition. Instead of being unfair and gross, that makes it beautiful and brave.

The Boardr Open took place in New York City (of course) and was "open to all participants at all skill levels," but was broken into what used to be the two obvious genders pre-2022: male and female.

Of the six female competitors, four were under the age of seventeen. Ricci Tres was the fifth. The sixth competitor, Chrissy Brown aka Sosii, is 28 years old. She came in 4th, beating out a ten-year-old and a twelve-year-old. It's hard to judge from a photo, but let's just say 28-year-old Sosii, much like Ricci, is looking a little rough.

Say what you will about Lia Thomas, but Lia at least competed against girls her own age.

Much like with the controversy of grown men twerking for children, supporters will say critics don't like it because it's a gay thing. When the real reason critics don't like it is because it's a grown man twerking for children thing. If it had been a cisgender female stripper or male Chippendales dancer, it would be just as problematic and gross. The only difference is that Democrats wouldn't be defending it in those instances like they do if it's man dressed up as a woman. At least, I don't think.

In this instance, what kind of a grown-ass adult enters a competition against children to steal opportunities from them? Other than someone who knows that it's June and if anyone criticizes like they would any other adult, Ricci can call them -phobic. 29-year-old Ricci entered a sports competition against girls aged 16, 13, 12, and 10. It's insanity.
