WNBA owner, grown adults curse and verbally assault two teens for supporting Sophie Cunningham, but Sophie has her fans' backs

If you are a teenage girl who supports girls having the same opportunity Will Thomas had to learn, grow, develop, and connect with their peers through sports, there is no place for you in the front row of a WNBA game. Also, the WNBA is not a real business predicated on selling tickets and growing a fan base. If it were, the owner of the Seattle Storm wouldn't be cursing at two girls for supporting Sophie Cunningham in the front row.
Allegedly, to be fair. There isn't video of co-owner Celeste Keaton, as there is of the two grown (alleged) adults in the video above calling Sophie supporters trash. We're going off of eyewitness accounts and the word of the two girls themselves, courtesy of the exclusive reporting of Brandi Kruse from the unDivided podcast.
Keaton called them "f*cking insane" to "come here and pull this sh*t," and hoped that Jesus would forgive them.

The majority owner, who was quick to point out Keaton was just a minority owner, issued an apology.

All eyes turn to Sophie Cunningham, who is entering Phase 3 of dipping your toe into culture wars. Phase 1 is where you dip your toe. Phase 2 is when you don't apologize, no matter how much the media wants you to. Which, for the rest of their career, they will never leave you alone about. Just ask JK Rowling.

Phrase 3 is where the person either triples down or awkwardly answers a question in a print interview that gets clikbaited by the media, and then we all have knee-jerk reactions to the clickbait. Cunningham went with the former option and threw her support behind the girls.
"Bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe. You’ll be hearing from me soon ... Truly embarrassing of the co-owner. Unfortunately shows the type of leader she is."

At this point, I hope Sophie Cunningham has had someone reach out to Sydney Sweeney's PR team. Not that she needs to be coached into what to say and how to say; just to be prepared for the questions. People in sports media already don't like to talk about sports as much as they like having athletes validate their leftist worldview. It will be rare that Sophie ever gets another question about basketball.
But she appears to be all in, so far. Kudos to her for that.
