Comedian Ron White went on Joe Rogan and made some foolish claims. Today’s show breaks down how he messed it up on Texas, Ken Paxton, and marijuana.

“He wanted to let you know that Texas is awful and we need some change and the proposed solutions would make it comparable to California,” Crowder said.

His first claim is that Texas has been controlled by the Right for decades, and they have done nothing. He questioned what the state even has to offer.

According to Crowder, it has added more jobs than any other state, it attracts more businesses than any other state, and it is number one in energy production from natural gas, coal, wind, and solar. However, California continues to lose on all of these things, with the latest development being that it is likely to lose Paramount.

“Think about this: Electric cars had to leave California. Solar is being generated in Texas more than in California. It did not require Marxist, progressive policies. It just required a decent power grid, and a business-friendly environment. No one is saying Texas is perfect. There are a lot of flaws. It is, objectively, number one or two, depending on the metric, of all states in this country right now,” Crowder said.

And when you compare Ken Paxton versus James Talarico on the trans issue, there is no comparison.

“It is a litmus test. When someone tells you they cannot tell you what a man is, that is someone who is so incapable of critical thinking that they cannot be trusted with any position of authority. It is an important litmus test,” Crowder said.

When it comes to school vouchers, both Talarico and White miss the mark. White claims that school vouchers take resources away from the public school system. This is factually incorrect.

“Public School funding and teacher salaries were increased at the same time. Voucher means it is attached to the student,” Crowder said. “If parents don't want them in the public school because it is so bad, you could then opt for a voucher to take to a private school or to use for homeschooling.”

The program is also inherently progressive, as it is allocated by social class.

“It is kind of like affirmative action, but it is based on income,” Crowder said.

White also criticized the state’s policy on marijuana.

“Here is the truth: you can absolutely get high in Texas. You can get THC in Texas,” Crowder said.

The loudest people criticizing weed laws are often single-issue voters.

“Sixty percent of marijuana proponents would vote for any party that supports pro-weed policies. They do not care about anything else,” Crowder said.
