It was not just Congress; Republicans lost several governorships. This will undoubtedly have immediate effects, especially in Texas. Today’s show breaks it down.
According to Gina Hinojosa, the incoming Governor of Texas, she will end school vouchers, despite their greatest benefit to low-income minority students. She also previously indicated that she is not interested in fighting the culture war right now. And if you think she will be tough on the border, you would be wrong.
“It is going to be woke 2.0,” Crowder said.
On another note, Texas has more land shared with the Mexican border than any other state. She promised to end cooperation with immigration enforcement. This includes ending all state cooperation with ICE. And she also plans to oppose any new border wall construction. Additionally, she also has control over the state guard.
“This is the immediate effect,” Crowder said.
Some migrants admitted that the sole reason they came to America was that Biden was president. Gov. Greg Abbott, in response, deployed a National Guard unit called the “Texas Tactical Border Force” to the Southern Border to fight the mass migration of migrants. So, while border crossings are effectively zero at this time, because of the new governorship, it is safe to assume that will change. In other words, she has “power to do some damage,” Crowder added.
“You will see some Republicans compromise and go, ‘well, maybe they are here, so maybe a path to citizenship.’ Watch the pandering as though if you give them a path to citizenship, even though they have come here illegally, they will somehow, magic wand, turn into rugged American individualists who are going to vote for God-fearing politicians. Nope. It is a losing strategy; it always has been. And somehow, people have gotten off the beam because Donald Trump defied the odds with some demographics," Crowder said.
