Viral Red Baron driver breaks silence, addresses supporters with an amazing message about family

It's been a long week. Hopefully everyone has plans to disconnect and decompress for the weekend. Here's a story to help with a reminder that not everything and everyone on the internets is terrible. Walt, the Red Baron employee who went viral, addressed his supporters and is doing something most others who found themselves in similar situations did not do. He's NOT milking it, as he expressed in a touching statement about family.
To recap, Walt is a delivery man who stocks frozen food at supermarkets. He was confronted by prank streamers, who are the oozing sore on the left buttcheek of the internets, to "prank" him by saying they just stole ten bucks from his Apple Pay to see how he reacted.
He reacted like someone who is struggling to support his family and was at his wits' end.
FOUR KIDS AT HOME AND THEY'RE FILMING HIM FOR CLOUT??Harmless content, or picked the wrong guy?A Red Baron rep is stocking a grocery store freezer when a couple of young people with a camera start messing with him. He snaps, then tells them he has to be up at 5 in the morning, he's still out working late, he's got four kids at home and he can't pay his mortgage. If that were my son holding that phone, the video would come down and he'd be finding that man to apologize to his face.Yes, he lost his cool. Calling somebody a punk on camera never helps your case. Now look at what he's carrying. Early mornings, more stores to hit, four kids and a mortgage. And somebody decided his bad day would make good content. There's a guy like him in every grocery store in America, grinding through the shift nobody sees. Turning one of them into the punchline isn't edgy. It's lazy.Leave the working man alone. He's got enough on his plate.

The internet felt for the guy, because we've all been there in some form or another. A guy named Luke started a GoFundMe to help Walt out. A guy named Luke...who is a homeless veteran. There's now a GoFundMe to help Luke out.
This would usually be the part of the story where Walt, a viral superstar, goes on a media tour, launches a meme coin, starts an OnlyFans page, or becomes a right-wing influencer.
Instead, he's doing none of that, and out of gratitude for everyone's love, he's stopping the donations and asking people to help others.
After giving it a lot of thought, I’ve decided not to participate in any interviews. My family’s safety and privacy come first, and I feel this is the best decision for us. I appreciate everyone who has reached out and hope you understand.
I’ve decided to pause donations to my fundraiser today, Thursday, November 5, marking one week of your incredible generosity and support for my family and I.
If you have the means and would like to continue helping others, please consider supporting another fundraiser, a local charity, or a church helping families in need this holiday season.
This will be my last update as I focus on my family, and we enjoy the holidays together.
Amen, brother.
As a side note, I saw something on X that I, of course, can't find now. So this is someone else's sentiment I'm biting off of. But as much as we call X-Twitter a hellhole (which it mostly is), it was X-Twitter that helped raise money for Walt, while it was TikTok and Instagram that encouraged the type of content that harassed him to begin with. Food for thought.
