MLB All-Star Game returns to Atlanta, despite Biden's hissyfit and lies over Georgia's "Jim Crow" election laws
The Major League Baseball All-Star Game was announced for Atlanta in 2025. It was supposed to be played in Atlanta in 2021, but they moved it due to faux-uproar over Georgia's common sense voter integrity reforms that Joe Biden called "Jim Crow on steroids." As we know now, the law passed, Biden lied, and it is no longer raaaaaacist for MLB's top players to play a game in the state.
Joe Biden gives you so many reasons not to vote for him in 2023 alone; it's important to view every reason he's given us in his first term. 2021 feels like a lifetime ago, so let's take a trip back in time.
Georgia had proposed common-sense voter integrity laws. As with most common sense voter integrity laws, Democrats lied about them and called them racist. Joe Biden famously referred to them as "Jim Crow on Steroids."
There was a push to force MLB to remove the All-Star Game from Atlanta as a way to bully Georgia officials not to pass the laws. Joe Biden endorsed this bullying during an interview on ESPN. MLB caved and moved the game to Colorado, costing all the black-owned businesses in the area millions in additional revenue.
The biggest irony of the 2021 brouhaha? The Atlanta Braves made it to the World Series that year.
The bigger irony is that the laws passed and voter turnout INCREASED in the state.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is taking a well-deserved victory lap.
He's also being praised by presidential candidate Ron DeSantis. As Florida Governor, instead of just virtue signaling about the problem on Twitter (or TruthSocial), Florida passed common-sense election reforms of their own. Democrats tried lying about those too.
The postscript in all this? Sage Steele, who conducted the ESPN interview with Joe Biden that started everything, last month exposed what it was like attempting to talk to Biden behind the scenes:
"And then I said, ‘Oh, so you were a receiver,'" Steele said of Biden reliving his alleged former gridiron glory. "And he started to explain it. And here's the saddest thing — his voice just trailed off. He said, ‘I was good,’ and then he went silent, and he goes, ‘Uhh… never mind.’"
Then she made her realization. "I thought it was so sad because I realized that's why he was in his basement during the whole election cycle. Because even then, he couldn't finish his sentences. He struggled. So forget about politics, I don't care, I didn't vote for him. However, that made me sad."
This is how senile Biden was in 2021. It's 2023 now. Place your bets on how worse he'll be in 2024.
