Watch: Joe Biden declares war on Snickers. No, really. This is where we're at as a country.
Joe Biden needs to eat a Snickers. Because he gets a little dementia when he's hungry.
The president of the United States is running out of scapegoats to blame for his policies ruining America. So now he is going after Big Chocolate. See, your Snickers bar has gotten smaller while he has been president. And it's all the fault of shrinkflation. Or, greedflation. He's on a kick where he puts words in front of -flation. Even though putting a word in front of --omics hasn't worked out for him.
LWC Next Gen Stats: Bidenomics
- +20.5% more for food at home
- +24% more for eggs
- +16.7% more for milk
- +18.5% more for housing
- +36.2% in credit card debt
- MINUS 7.5% in disposable income.
Here is a discombobulated old coot threatening the Mars Corporation in South Carolina. "Greedflation. Shrinkflation. Did you see that article about the Snickers bars? Well, it's gonna stop. America, we're tired of being played for suckers."

It is unclear what article he is talking about, but the New York Times ran a recent piece, Why Are Voters So Upset? Consider the Snickers Bar, using candy to point out how voters are humans, and humans don’t think about inflation rationally. Yes, you may be surprised to know a NYT elitist is mocking middle-class struggles.
If something cost $1 for a decade, consumers resent the fact that the same product is $1.20 today — even if the price of that product is no longer rising. Mentally, consumers feel that the product ought to cost $1 and they are nostalgic for the old price. This mentality is one reason for what is sometimes called “shrinkflation”: Companies will keep the price of their products constant, but shrink the product size. Consumers get less for their money, but the unchanged price prevents negative nostalgia.
Here's the thing, I wouldn't dismiss Biden's focus on this and "junk fees" completely. They ARE issues affecting American budgets and bank accounts. While campaigning on poll numbers and how unfair YOUR life is might appeal to a niche political base, the bulk of Americans are concerned about how unfair THEIR life is.
We shouldn't dismiss the issue outright. But we need to point out how it's bullsh*t and Joe Biden is to blame for all the [solve for x]flations he wants to complain about. Your Snickers bar is getting smaller because Biden policies have made it more expensive to make Snickers bars at every point of production. Ingredients, energy to run the machines, fuel to deliver them to the stores, etc.
The policies pushed by the people who run Biden and Weekend-at-Bernies him around the Oval Office don't just make specific items more expensive. They make the cost of everything needed to make those items more expensive. Farmers have been warning about this since last year.

Truck drivers have also been warning about the cost of delivering food since last year. Not to mention the cost of energy to produce food and the packaging of food. Guess who they blame? It's not the grocers.
"$1,100, $1,200. [...] When you put $1,200 in your gas tank and just six months ago it was costing you $600 or $700, the exponential reality of it is starting to sink in. You just can’t walk that back. It touches every single thing that matters in this country. From food production to transportation. All of it."
It's not the fault of "greedy" "corporations" that have caused all the Bidenflation. It's the past three years under the guy Bidenflation is named after who's responsible.
