Graham Linehan, the British comedian who was treated like a domestic terrorist over hilarious tweets critics call "anti-Trans," was in court for thought crimes this week. No, not for his tweets mocking trans activists. This is a separate, unrelated incident. Linehan is accused of harassing a different trans activist, who was allegedly harassing LGB activists. Yes, Linehan was defending the Ls, Gs, and Bs, but we all know the Ts outrank them on the pound-for-pound most marginalized rankings.
First, since Graham is our new favourite comedian, we should probably familarize ourselves with "Father Ted," the show he is known for co-creating.
Also, a quick side note about Graham being arrested at the airport. I hadn't realized that the offending tweets were posted while he was in America. He posted, someone snitched, and five armed police officers were waiting for him at Heathrow. Something to keep in mind if you're planning to travel to visit our "allies" in the UK.
But that will be his next court appearance. This one involves his alleged harassment of trans activist Sophia Brooks, who, for the sake of making grammatical sense, we'll call a she/her, even though I know that you know that I know that you know.
The trial heard that on 11 October last year, a conference of the women's rights group LGB Alliance was disrupted when some girls inside released insects.
The use of the word "girls" here makes the sentence confusing. I'm assuming the reporter means boys who claim to be girls. Otherwise, why would "girls" disrupt a women's rights conference? Know what I mean?
Linehan, defending the LGBs, pointed to Brooks, the T, as being responsible and guilty of domestic terrorism. In Brooks' defense, she/her attorney claim there's "no evidence that Ms Brooks participated, Linehan linked the disruption of the event to her."
A week or two later, Brooks confronted Linehan over the mean things he posted. There was an argument, and Brooks' phone was swatted out of she/her hand.
Linehan hasn't presented his argument to the court yet, but in a previous statement, he claimed that Brooks was the one harassing him.
"The complainant provoked him and made a provocative statement; put the phone in his face; he grabbed the phone and threw it to the side; it was a reflex response," she added about the prepared statement.
"In relation to the online posts, the defendant did not accept it amounted to harassment; as a journalist - as he described himself - he believed exposing tactics of trans activities was in the public interest," Ms Faure Walker added.
It is unclear as of this writing whether Linehan plans to wear the billboard when he takes the stand to defend himself. We here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website will provide updates as they are available.
