Anytime something happens in these United States of America that makes the left look bad, we on the right snark to each other about how the media will gloss over it, glorify the perpetrators, and make the progressive in question seem less douchey. Like the two ISIS-inspired bombers in NYC.

Sure, attempting to blow people up with an IED is bad, but the real villains were the tens of people Islamophobiaing in the street. Even by our usual low standards for the journalsiming industrial complex, this CNN framing is something.

Terrorists inspired by ISIS? Meh. Emir Balat and Ibraham Kayumi were just two teens who, on an unseasonably sunny day, made a mistake that could change their lives forever.

Two Pennsylvania teenagers crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could’ve been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather.

But in less than an hour, their lives would drastically change as the pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs during an anti-Muslim protest outside of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home. Here's what we know so far.

Look, I get it. It's the role of the media to cape for Democrats at all costs and never ever ever admit that, mayhaps, anyone on the right might have a point about something. And I don't know about you, but what terrifies ME is if ISIS were to detonate a bomb and kill Americans, imagine all the backlash there would be against peaceful Muslims.

For reals. They were just two teens who, in the heat of the moment, made a mistake. Boys will be boys, know what I'm saying? It's surprising that The Zohran didn't invite them over for dinner. At least not yet.

Maybe The Zohran has to wait for a district court judge in Massachusetts, Connecticut, or California to overturn the federal arrest of Emir Balat and Ibraham Kayumi — known by their friends as JoJo and the I-Man — before he has them over for ice cream sundaes.

But as for CNN and the, I'm assuming unmarried white woman, who decided THAT was the best way to frame this story, knowing most people won't click the link to the article...are they trolling us? Or are they actually assigned a directive to humanize the two aspiring terrorists? Or does it come naturally for them, since hating any Americans to the right of Karl Marx is a job requirement to be a journalismer at CNN. The jury is out.
