Under normal circumstances, Smollett would be underground. Waiting for the right time to make his comeback on Dancing with the Stars. Or Celebrity Worst Cooks in America. But the police body cam footage was released. One thing stands out.

Jussie Smollett still had a noose around his neck more than 40 minutes after his alleged attack -- it's something we already reported, but now, for the first time, we see the video.

Chicago police just released a boatload of evidence, including body cam video of officers responding to the 911 call back in January.

Seems odd, still wearing the alleged noose 40 minutes after you were allegedly hate crimed against.

Cops ask Jussie if he wants to take the noose off ... he says he would take it off, but he wanted them to see it before he did.

Oh bullshit.

The funny thing is if the actor just admitted it, he may have had a chance to make a comeback. Everyone loves a good redemption story. Instead, he still claims he's innocent even though it's increasingly clear that he's not. The district attorney let him off without so much as the start of a trial. Now, with every piece of evidence that comes out, Jussie looks worse and worse.
