We at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website don't celebrate crime happening to people. Even though in many of these high crime areas, it is the result of progressive voters reelecting progressive politicians to enact progressive policies for decades. Then those voters can't understand why their streets aren't safe, yet claim it's somehow Republicans' fault. In New Orleans, one of those progressive politicians experienced the biting irony firsthand. Soros-backed District Attorney Jason WIlliams.

He and his mother got carjacked at gunpoint. When Arnold Schwarzenegger defined being a Democrat as "ruin your cities," New Orleans was one he had in mind.

“OPDA confirms that DA Williams and his 78-year-old mother were carjacked at gunpoint as he was helping her into a car,” office spokesman Keith Lampkin said in response to questions from Fox 8.

“DA Williams and his mother were unharmed and both thank the NOPD for their hard work tonight and every night responding to crime victims.”

The DA was elected in 2020 after George Soros donated $220,000 to run campaigns against Williams’ opponent, reports the Daily Caller. Williams campaigned on social justice reform, alternatives to incarceration, and the "unfair" money bail system.

After being elected, Williams declined to prosecute 65% of criminal cases. Since then New Orleans has been named the murder capital of America. Auto thefts are also up 104%. It got so bad that in March, police were warning law-abiding citizens not to sit in their cars because there was an above-average chance of them getting jacked. And police have their hands tied over how much they can do.

There is a chance New Orleans might be waking up. Or, as is often the case, the areas around the crime-infested progressive cities view those cities as a warning sign. Republican Jeff Landry was just elected governor of Louisiana after eight years of Democrat control.
