Laken Riley deserved better than this. Her family deserves better than this. And you -- the American people, deserve better than this.

Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan believes it puts some democrats on the right side of history for voting against the Laken Riley Act. According to her, this piece of legislation would have “terrorized” the state's communities. This is why she has praised those who voted against the act -- despite her job being to represent Americans, not criminal aliens.

Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, second-in-command to Gov. Tim Walz in Minnesota, flamed the Laken Riley Act before a cheering crowd at a "Stop Oligarchy" rally headlined by socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., over the weekend.

Flanagan slammed the law, sponsored by Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., as a vessel to strip due process from immigrants and allow for indefinite detention of adults and children.

"It was the green light to give ICE unprecedented power to totally terrorize our communities," Flanagan went on.

In your case, you are wondering -- no -- she did not say anything about the criminal aliens who have "terrorized" Americans, including Riley.

She added that she sees a "straight line" from the Laken Riley Act vote in Congress to unrest in communities like Minneapolis; praising Smith and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., for voting against it.

This law detains criminal aliens charged with theft or who are believed to have assaulted a police officer. The fact that this is controversial for people like Peggy tells you all you need to know. Not only does she not care if a foreign national steals from an American -- the very people her job is meant to represent -- but she also does not care about harm caused to police officers. At one point in time, assaulting an officer used to be considered a very serious crime. According to Peggy, however, it should have zero say on whether someone gets deported.

What is also unacceptable is that not only does she advocate for defending these criminals, but she also advocates for granting them special rights at the expense of American citizens. It truly is unacceptable and insane.

Again, maybe -- just maybe -- Peggy will wake up one day and realize she got it all wrong, but the chances of that happening anytime soon are close to zero.
