It's not surprising that Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) think the American people are too stupid to know how to tie their own shoes without the media or democrats (but I repeat myself) explaining how. That has always been their argument against voter ID. They believe anyone who isn't a straight white man lacks the ability to get one. But the extent they admit THEY are too stupid is an odd flex.

The thing that's being focused on to oppose the SAVE Act (aka needing an ID to prove you're an American before you vote) is having a birth certificate. The content creators on Morning Joe actually went around the table and thought admitting that they, grown adults, are too stupid to know where their important paperwork is is all the proof needed why Americans shouldn't have to prove they are Americans before voting on who should be elected in America.

A, that's embarrassing, and you should all be embarrassed.

(A and a half is that married women, the group that the left claims won't be able to vote because of this the most, are the ones who keep the important family documents organized)

B, it's even more embarrassing that if you can't find your birth certificate, you don't know how to use Google to look up how to have them send you a new one.

It was a segment designed to fluff Chuck Schumer and the OpEd someone on his staff wrote and had placed in the New York Times under his name. I didn't watch the segment. Like most Americans, I don't watch cable news outside of seeing clips on the internets. But I doubt Schumer explained how he, an old white man, understands Jim Crow better than the majority of Black Americans who support voter ID.

It's sad that Democrats aren't as open-minded and tolerant as we on the right are. See, we conservatives believe that all Americans, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation, love America enough that if you let them know they need an ID to vote and don't currently have one, they are smart enough and have the brain skills to figure out how to get one with over six months' notice.

The Democrat Party does not, and seems to think only straight white men can get IDs without the government explaining how. Though this is also the same Democrat Party that doesn't think Americans of color know how to use the internet or hire a lawyer without it being explained to them, usually through a non-profit ot NGO funded by taxpayer dollars.

It would be less embarrassing if Democrats just admitted they oppose voter ID because it makes it harder for them to cheat. Saying they oppose it because they're nincompoops who can't keep important documents in a folder in a safe under the bed isn't the flex they think it is.
