Joe Biden sent Kamala Harris to Poland. He sends her to do a lot of things he doesn't want to do himself, like fix his border crisis. Harris on the public stage is prime for awkwardness and cringe. Since Kamala is awkwardly cringy. There hasn't been a vice president so bad at their job since Joe Biden.

At a joint press conference with the president of Poland, it's not surprising to see her get a case of the giggles while Ukrainians are fleeing for their lives.

Kamala apologists are quick to point out she was laughing at the awkward moment when they looked at each other not knowing who was going to answer the question, not laughing at the question about Ukrainian refugees. That is a distinction that "independent" "fact" checkers would totally make if Mike Pence so much as smirked. Also, #PenceLaughsAtRefugees would totally not be trending on Twitter.

So, yeah. While inappropriate to be laughing hysterically at this moment, she was laughing at her confusion over who should answer first. It's not like the time she laughed about the border crisis. Or struggling families during the pandemic. Or Americans trapped in Afghanistan. Actually, here's a medley.

Criticism aside--and her being terrible at her job aside--she was still a better choice to send than Joe Biden, who would have opened up with Polish jokes. I'd love to see the "independent" "fact" checkers circle the wagons to explain how Biden meant "Pollock" in a good way. And that when he asked how many it took to screw in a lightbulb, he was actually making a point about green energy.
