Hundreds of protestors have been reported to have been killed in Iran. Demonstrations have also erupted in America. Is Trump making a difference? Today’s show breaks this down.
According to CNN:
An ongoing communications shutdown – which experts say is unprecedented in its scale – was imposed by authorities on Thursday and has mostly isolated the country from the outside world amid the deadly unrest.
US President Donald Trump has threatened to attack Iran if security forces respond with force against protesters, hundreds of whom are reported to have been killed. Thousands more have been arrested.
The protests began around a fortnight ago in Tehran’s bazaars over rampant inflation but have spread to more than 180 cities and towns across the country, morphing into general protests against the regime.
According to Louder with Crowder footage from a protest in Dallas, one Iranian immigrant claimed that “Trump is a man of his word,” adding that he stands for what is right. She criticized the media, claiming that if it does not match their ideology, they will not support it, regardless of whether it is right or wrong.
Another protester claimed that Venezuela is more than enough proof that “Trump is not to be played around with. “For the first time in the white House, we have a president who gets it.
Another Iranian immigrant said that “if you say you are going to do something, you better do it,” clarifying that many protestors are risking their lives and “people are dying,” and that if Trump intends to help, he must make good on that promise.
Crowder believes the people should “plan a revolution they can carve out themselves,” but added that “a regime change in Iran would benefit the United States, but that does not mean that is why the people there are supporting it.”
China imports 23% of all of its oil from Iran.
“You change the game with Venezuelan oil, and you change the game with Iranian oil; you avoid a war with a nation like China going forward. If you just do nothing, that does not mean war will never happen. It means that war will happen; it's inevitable. Especially when you are dealing with evil actors. They will always expand, they will always encroach,” Crowder said. “Putting China on its heels with both Venezuela and Iran as a multi-pronged approach, that is incredibly effective.”
It’s not a coincidence that every time there is an uprising in places like Iran, communications go dead.
It’s unclear why the Feminists are quiet on these protests, and even protesters are baffled as to why this is. One Iranian immigrant has a message to the left that refuses to stay conscious of their double standards: “Go spend seven days in Iran and then we talk.”
“We should act in our own interest, and Iran, existing as it does, is opposed to the best interest of the United States. That does not mean we invade, but it does mean we have a vested interest right now. If you want America first, if you want a steady supply of energy, if you don't want prices to be subject to incredibly volatile conditions because of instability in that entire region of the world, then you would want to have a different government that is America-friendly in Iran. That would be America first,” Crowder said.
