Donald Trump Honors Rush Limbaugh with Presidential Medal of Freedom at State of the Union [SPEECH]
If you're reading this, there's a very good chance you're here because of Rush Limbaugh. Or if not Rush himself, because of someone who was a fan. All his many fans were shocked and surprised Monday when he announced that he has stage four lung cancer. During Tuesday's State of the Union address, President Trump had a surprise of his own.
Here tonight is a special man, beloved by millions of Americans, who just received a Stage 4 advanced cancer diagnosis. This is not good news, but what is good news is that he is the greatest fighter and winner that you will ever meet. Rush Limbaugh.
Thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country. Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and inspire, and all of the incredible work that you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Leftists are of course being leftists over it (see Liberals Attack Carly Fiorina Over Her… Breast Cancer? and Cancer Patient Mocked by Samantha Bee Responds. And It’s Perfect…). Which, frankly, if you celebrate someone getting cancer just because you don't like their political opinion — or for any reason — there isn't a bag of dicks big enough for you to choke on. Period. Someone else can share the hateful tweets.
But as one of the way too many Americans whose family has been affected by cancer, I'm sending my heartfelt prayers to Rush and his family. Also — and I can't stress this enough — f*** cancer.
