As a matter of national policy, it has been ordered that the United States shall only recognize two genders. I am paraphrasing it here, but that statement sums it up. And in this pursuit, hospitals around the country have been forced to shut down their trans affirming clinics that targeted children. This is precisely why this story exists.

As part of a settlement in a federal lawsuit, Texas Children's Hospital has opened the country's first detransition clinic.

According to Fox 7:

The agency describes the detransition clinic as a multidisciplinary clinic providing care to those who previously received gender-transition care. It offers detransition-related care to patients through age 21 and detransition-related obstetric and gynecologic care to patients older than 21, according to the attorney general's office.

"In accordance with my settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital, the nation’s first-ever Detransition Clinic is now open," Attorney General Ken Paxton said in the announcement. "I will continue to ensure that this clinic provides the care and support that victims of the radical left’s gender ideology deserve. Together, we will protect our children and defeat the dangerous ideology that has inflicted irreversible harm on innocent kids."

In May, Texas Children's Hospital and the state attorney general's office reached a settlement that required the creation of the clinic. The claims were brought under the Texas Health Care Program Fraud Prevention Act.

While much of the damage has already been done, the fact that this needed to open in the first place is the problem and proof we have so much more to accomplish to make this country great again.

Texas Children’s Hospital is one of several that have reached a settlement agreement with the Justice Department related to gender affirming care. In Sept., the DOJ announced that it secured agreements with NYU and UPMC on “gender-affirming care” for minors. Unclear how many more agreements we will see like that, but it is likely going to be much more.

The fact that Texas Children’s Hospital opened the clinic not because it realized what it was doing was objectively evil, but because they had to under legal obligation, makes this all the worse and proof that these institutions have been captured by the trans virus.

There should be no such thing as a detransition clinic because the damage should never have occurred. But because families blindly trusted these medical professionals, so many people have been harmed under the guise of “gender affirming care.” It does not get any more insane than that.
