Why does it seem as if every time the left comes out with a more “eco-friendly” alternative, it always ends up being worse for the environment? Because in the left’s pathetic pursuit of saving the whales, paper straws have been proven to be worse for everyone and everything. Who could have possibly guessed?

According to the New York Post:

The research comes from South Korea’s Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, which analyzed four types of straws — paper, plastic, biodegradable plastic, and sugarcane-based — across 16 environmental categories.

Traditional plastic straws showed the lowest environmental footprint in 10 of the 16 categories, including human toxicity, particulate matter, and overall climate change impact.

Meanwhile, paper straws were found to generate over six times more carcinogens than standard plastic, along with double the impact on environmental acidification.

Aside from being negative for our environment, they are also extremely inefficient. Here is President Donald Trump to break down the real costs of these fake environmental alternatives:

He said what needed to be said. In fact, this has been on his agenda for several years now.

It does not take a climate change expert to conclude much of the left's straw nonsense was based on wishful thinking. The fact that some people even bought this crap, despite everything else being made from plastic, including the cups the paper straws sit in, is a scandal. That being said, in the pursuit of making America Great Again, paper straws must be shunned into oblivion.
