There is no pleasing the left. This ideology always goes after its own. This is because their morality is subjective, at best. The goalpost is constantly moving. This is also why this article exists.
Lesbian Massachusetts bar that required customers to wear masks, forced to close down after lesbians rioted against the bar's decision to lift its mask requirement for just one day a week.Last Ditch says it is closing down after making mask-wearing optional nearly 7 years after COVID.The owners tried changing the bar's mask policy for one night a week to boost business but faced fierce backlash from customers.Far-leftists accused the bar owners of "ableism" and kicking immunocompromised people to the curb. "We put our lives on hold to foster networks of care, resources and a home base for organizing. It’s time we pass it on," the failed business said on Instagram."We’ve been fighting since the beginning to fill out the team, and we still don’t have a board/leadership to manage workers’ owned co-op transfer. We are soft closing effective immediately; all booked events will continue; otherwise, we are closed."The bar was welcoming for lesbians, "transs*xuals, gender freaks, workers and their friends," but all that meant nothing considering they apparently weren't welcoming enough to immunocompromised people.

A lesbian bar in Massachusetts decided to lift its mask mandate over six years since COVID became a thing. But it was only once a week, and guests could still wear face diapers if it made them feel safe. Emphasis on feelings here because so few facts were used to justify the outrage over this nonissue. Nonetheless, the outrage was so extreme that the bar is essentially being forced to shut down.
According to the New York Post:
Last Ditch Bar in Greenfield announced on Instagram Monday that it will shut down “effective immediately” except for already booked events, and fully close by winter.
The bar, made famous by a buzzy Boston Globe article last month, said it would need “new owners ASAP.”
“We are SOFT CLOSING effective immediately, all BOOKED events will CONTINUE, otherwise we are CLOSED,” the post said. “Love and solidarity to all.”
Keep in mind, masks were made optional for Saturday only. The rest of the week it was still mandatory. That did not stop regulars from subsequently labeling this as “ableist” or whatever.
“I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immunocompromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue from ablists [sic],” one commenter wrote on the western Massachusetts bar’s post announcing the change, the Boston Globe reported.
The fact that comments like this were made by the side that pretends to be all in for compassion is unsurprising. This is why we have the saying: “The only standards the left has are double standards.” They pretend to be inclusive, but exclude the large majority, all while pretending to be all in on the nonexistent fight against ableism. You cannot write better irony than this.
“People like you kill disabled people in the name of your own leisure and convenience,” wrote another, while a third said, “Just say you’re being complicit in a mass disabling event and get it over with.”
While I am no medical expert, I am pretty clear that this is what you would call mental illness. And while this behavior was more common six years ago, the vast majority of leftists don't currently go around wearing face diapers. People have moved on. Nonetheless, the lesbians have spoken, and because the owners dared to get more customers in on Saturday night, the left went after their own. Not sure what to make of this, but the fact that the people upset have a vote that counts just as much as yours is deeply concerning.
That being said, where will the regulars go now? Surely, there is no surplus of masked bars. Guess that is nothing more than a personal problem for these pathetic buffoons.
