CNN gets snippy at former Trump official over hilarious meme, acts as if Trump will literally napalm Chicago

For those of you playing along at home, this is the meme in question.
It's a boomer meme from the 70s classic Apocalypse Now, where an iconic quote is, "I love the smell of Napalm in the morning."
Now, could an argument be made that it is beneath the office of the presidency to share memes like this? Sure. I'm not here to make that argument. You're not here to listen to that argument. But should someone choose to make that argument, they'd be able to do so, and it might even lead to a broader conversation.
That's not what the media does or has any interest in. They treat memes as literal statements from Donald Trump, and get upset at people who aren't as angry at it as they are.
That's why you have CNN's Brianna Keilar being all like: Do you find this funny? This isn't funny! How could you find this funny?
And then you have former ICE acting director Jonathan Fahey being all like: Your overreaction is funny. Also, no, Trump is not going to literally be dropping napalm in Chicago.
Trump shares these memes for two reasons. The first is that he likes things that make him look cool and/or his haters and losers look silly. The second is that he knows how easily triggered and manipulated those haters and losers are.
It's as if Trump throws a bunch of rakes on the ground and says, "Please, whatever you do, don't step on these rakes." And what does the left and CNN (but I repeat myself) do each and every time? Declare with great aplomb, "Oh yeah? We're gonna step on these rakes twice as hard now! Take that, fascist!"
Trump gets the best of both worlds. He keeps the issue in the news (in this case, our Democrat run cities being overrun with crime thanks to decades of Democrat control). And he gets the bonus of the journalisming industrial complex, the least popular institution in America, overreacting and reminding Americans why they're the least popular institution.
