The worst part of the left's social progressive experiments is that it almost always hurts kids the most. This is why, in the pursuit to make America great again, gender affirming care for minors must end yesterday. Unfortunately, hospitals don't always do the right thing because it’s morally correct. They often have to be forced into it, which is what appears to have happened with two major children’s hospitals in Wisconsin.

Due to recent federal changes, Children’s Wisconsin and UW Health have ceased gender-affirming care to minors.

According to WPR:

The moves come after the Trump administration last month announced plans to block all Medicaid and Medicare funding for any services at hospitals that provide gender-affirming care to minors. They say it exposes young people to irreversible harm.

The problem with this is not that the Trump Administration made this happen, but it's that the federal government needed to make it happen in the first place. This should have never been an option, and sadly, many kids have likely suffered irreversible damage before they even got a chance to hit puberty. That will never make these people compassionate; in fact, they actively perpetuated one of the worst mass medical malpractice cases against this nation's youth, and history will not look kindly at that.

In a statement, Children’s Wisconsin cited “escalating legal and federal regulatory risk” facing providers across the nation as the reason it is “currently unable to provide gender affirming pharmacologic care.”

Again, the problem with this is that they needed to be told to do the right thing. The moral compass was clearly not compassing. Their pocketbooks were tough.

The health system also said it believes LGBTQ+ children should be treated with “support, respect, dignity and compassion” and stated that it will continue offering mental health services for patients and families.

Someone should really inform the left that you can treat people with compassion without medically altering their gender. Not that that is even possible, but you get the point. Ironically, treating them with “support, respect, dignity and compassion” would actually mean doing the exact opposite of what they did. Weird how that works out.

Meanwhile, UW Health said in a statement that it is pausing prescribing puberty blockers and hormone therapy as part of gender affirming care for patients under 18 years old “due to recent federal actions.” The system said it remains committed to providing “high-quality, compassionate” care to LGBTQ+ patients.

“High-quality, compassionate” care would mean helping kids understand that there is nothing wrong with the body they were born with. Because, according to the left, the compassionate thing to do is tell them that there is something so inherently wrong with them that they should take advantage of every irreversible medical intervention possible to affirm that lie. This has no place in a “compassionate” society, and sadly, many children have suffered because of this deranged ideology.

It’s time to make medical care great again, and that starts with putting an end to this madness.
