DeSantis & Abbott are geniuses for sending illegal migrants to sanctuary cities says... Charlamagne tha God?
I am well aware Charlamagne tha God is not conservative and has no love for the right. He's also one of the few on the left willing to hold Democrats accountable for their pandering. To the point where most of the big Democratic candidate gaffes happened on The Breakfast Club. Joe "You Ain't Black" Biden and Hillary "Hot Sauce in the Purse" Clinton? That was Charlamagne.
So, I found it interesting he viewed Martha's VineyardGhazi like this:
I personally think it’s genius, but I wish that governors like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott would give Democratic governors and mayors more of a heads-up. Because then, that would expose the hypocrisy of the Democrats, which is, they don’t want immigrants here, either.
The rest of the panel wasn't as based. You heard the smug criticism that it wasn't Christian to oppose illegal immigration and that Republicans only care because the illegal migrants are brown. The latter is an odd criticism because the brown people have already been kicked out of liberal Martha's Vineyard to go live on a military base. Liberal Martha's Vineyard also needed 150 National Guardsman to handle the "humanitarian crisis" of fifty brown people in their neighborhood. So, there's that.
But Charlamagne is the star and the reason people turn in. He speaks for a broad audience many in politics (left and right) don't have access to. And if people outside of corporate media--where journalismers are told to say "kidnapping" and "human trafficking"--view this as the left being exposed for once again being NIMBY hypocrites, it provides Republicans a valuable opening to appeal to new voters. Just like the openings leftists leave being hypocrites about taxes, shutdowns for thee but not for me, and school choice.
It's a valuable opening for the right if we're smart enough to take it. That's not always our strong suit.
