Despite a countrywide blackout, a rave went on with Hasan Piker and a band of merry Code Pinkers. Today’s show breaks it down.
CODEPINK’s delegation was organized in collaboration with Progressive International, Cuban Americans for Cuba, and other partners.
In addition to the 6,300 pounds of medical supplies, delegates have packed suitcases with supplies that address the needs of specific groups affected by the blockade in unique ways, such as LGBTQ+ people, artists, animals, and others.
The chances that those supplies ended up on the black market or in the hands of corrupt government officials are very, very high.
The March 20 delegation is part of a broader international effort organized by Progressive International. Hundreds of activists from Latin America, the United States, Canada, and Europe will converge in Havana on March 21 to denounce the U.S. blockade and deliver life-saving aid.
“They are enabling and empowering the government, which will ensure the people remain oppressed for as long as it can get away with it. The government will ensure that the people live in poverty. It has never happened any other way,” Crowder said. “There is no example of Communism where that has not been the case.”
So, while people like these activists claim they are all in to help the little guy, they empower the evil regime, while the people suffer under mass poverty.
“The Cuban people overwhelmingly oppose their communist regime,” Crowder said.
While these activists stayed in five-star resorts, the Cuban people lived in total darkness.
“The only thing lit up was the hotel that they were staying at,” Crowder said.
According to Crowder, this is a specific kind of evil, where the people of Cuba claim they are starving, and beg activists not to empower the government, as they continue to oppress them, and White liberals tell them to shut up, as they further empower the communist regime.
They cannot even pretend to claim ignorance, as they saluted and cheered on President Miguel Díaz-Cane and the government.
“This dictator, this tyrant, wants people like this who will support him to go out and push the propaganda while people starve,” Crowder said. “Do you get how evil this is?”
A rapper by the name of Kneecap showed up to put on a show for the activists.
“The remaining places that had power outside of that hotel went out right after that concert, including five concerts, while he is up there in Cuba saying ‘Free Palestine,’” Crowder said.
Hasan Piker is the other main player in charge. He claimed he flew commercial, even though it looked like first class, and stayed at a five-star hotel, where the cheapest room is $200 a night, while the average salary for a Cuban is $13 a month. He claims he was forced to stay at this hotel by the American government.
Americans are only prohibited from staying at government-owned properties, and it recommends Americans stay at individually owned Airbnbs so that the money goes to the people.
“Could it be any more obvious that these people are loyal to Communism and that they are evil?” Crowder said.
According to Piker, Cubans “vibe and chill.”
“They are on street corners because they have no job and they have no food,” Crowder said.
Ironically, none of these people uploaded anything on social media that occurred outside of the hotel or besides a guided tour.
According to Piker, the Cubans in Miami, the ones who fled communism, are bad Cubans, and that all the “good Cubans” stayed in Cuba.
“At a certain point, they can't all be wrong,” Crowder said. “But let me get this straight, the guy who is vacationing in Cuba as part of a propaganda tour to cheer on the government, wants to educate the man who actually lived in Cuba, as to why it is actually great.”
According to Crowder, “this is worse than arrogance.”
The same people who are saying communist Cuba is fine and is better than Trump's America are also saying the Islamic Republic, Hamas, and China are also better than America.
“There are actual people in Cuba who are dying. There are thousands of people executed for speaking out against the government without trial. There are people there without power. There are people there who were in the hospital who likely died because of Kneecap’s concert,” Crowder said. “What part of this is America first?”
