Poor Joe Biden. He should be celebrating the passage of the so-called "Inflation Reduction Act" (that will actually increase inflation). Instead, the people who run Ol' Puddinghead will have to again answer questions on if he's running for reelection. Why? Because of Rep. Carolyn Maloney telling the New York Times Biden is not running for reelection.

During her endorsement interview with the editorial board for her congressional primary:

NYT: Should President Biden run again

Maloney: Off the record, he’s not running again.

NYT: Not off the record. On the record.

NYT: On the record? No, he should not run again.

"But Brodigan, she said 'off the record?'" Correct. And a reporter needs to agree to your declaration of "off the record" before you open your facehole with what you want off the record. Reporter's tend not to agree to go off the record during an interview to decide if they are going to endorse you. Either an old AF congresswoman who has been involved with NYC politics since 1983 doesn't know that OR Biden isn't the only elderly Democrat whose brain is more than 50.1% tapioca.

Side note: The Times endorsed Maloney's primary opponent, Jerry Nadler, who dodged the question altogether.

Maloney has been causing anti-Biden drama all month. It started during a debate when she refused to endorse the current president:

Then came the now-infamous CNN hostage video. The only thing missing is Ron Klein standing off stage holding a gun to her dog:

It's fascinating to see how many of his alleged colleagues dislike Joey so much, they twist themselves up like the string from a pair of sweatpants that got stuck in the dryer. Congressman Byron Donalds has a theory behind it: "They’re backing away from Joe Biden because he’s terrible at his job and he’s not a leader and he’s not even good at motivating the American people and he’s followed the Congressional Democrat agenda lock, stock, and barrel, and it’s been a complete failure. [...] He’s very bad at this. The voters are not being supportive of him. He can’t even go out and rally people to his side. So, why have him there?"

You would think, for purely political reasons, these people would lie and say Biden has their full confidence. Yet, here we keep finding ourselves.
