The left often resorts to fear-mongering tactics when trying to gaslight Americans into believing their doomsday predictions. Typically, this involves the weather and some date that is at least a decade away. They do this because it’s a lot easier to convince people of your climate scam when it’s not in the foreseeable future. Most people know that nearly all, if not all, beachfront properties in the U.S. will still be above sea level next month. And while most climate alarmists are not what you would call “smart,” it takes a whole new level of stupidity to suggest that the government shutdown will bring on climate change and destroy a city if the government does not open back up — but that is exactly what one California mayor did.

Alameda City Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft said that “Alameda is an island, but the entire region needs to be concerned about climate change and sea level rise,” and “If you don’t live in a waterfront community, if we don’t do something about climate change and sea level rise, you will.”

According to Ashcraft, the Biden Administration gave Alameda City, as well as several other neighboring cities, a combined grant of $55 million to combat climate change. However, not only do none of these places need federal assistance, but the fact that bureaucrats just handed a bunch of wealthy leftists funds to combat their invisible climate scam is a scandal in itself. But now she’s crying because the Trump administration put an end to this. Wow. This is what we call “first-world issues.”

I also find it bizarre that FEMA had no trouble forking over funds for an alleged emergency that has yet to happen, but many people in North Carolina are still suffering…. Incredible. Just incredible.

She also claimed these millions of dollars were a “game changer,” but provided zero evidence of how the game was changed. But maybe it’s just a coincidence that the more leftists spend on combating the weather, the worse off they always claim to be. Weird how that works. I don’t know — you do the math.

Also, if the sea levels are rising, why are they not rising? That’s something she could never fully answer, as she pretends that climate change is coming to a city near you. And at this point, she should take what she can get. So rather than claim they need millions to fight the weather, they should accept federal ICE agents to enforce the laws they turn a blind eye to — but she won’t, as that’s the last thing these leftists are interested in.
