Ratings for the Oscars are in the toilet, and producers have an idea: have Amy Schumer host the awards! She was announced as one of three hosts this year. To fix ratings, producers are going with the woman who caused Netflix to change their ratings. The show hasn't had a traditional "host" since Kevin Hart was supposed to host. Then it was discovered he told what would now be considered an anti-LGBTQAIIP+ joke a decade ago, and the multiple times he apologized weren't enough. Though, he did provide a masterclass in how to handle the press when you are getting "canceled."

Producers went hostless because every potential host may have said a joke at some point that didn't pass 2020's sensibilities. That isn't an issue with Amy Schumer. Her idiotic political comments offend half the country, but it's the half the country Hollywood hates. Instead, let's focus on all the times she was accused of stealing other comedians' material. Once or twice is coincidental. A few times is accidental. No one is perfect. I sometimes can't tell where my vocabulary ends and quotes from "The Simpsons" begin. The Oscars have to do something about ratings. Giving awards to movies people actually like instead of movies that leftist actors give each other circle jerks to is out of the question.
