Zohran Mamdani embarrasses himself trying to lift weights at "men's day," gets obliterated with nickname that's gonna stick

Zohran Mamdani is 33 years old and needed a spotter to complete two reps on 135 pounds. This is next level weakness: pic.twitter.com/QdrKhpR1Qo

If anything, The Zohran is lucky he is running for mayor of New York City. Running for office anywhere else in America, not being able to bench 135 pounds at something called a "men's day" would be embarrassing. But it's New York City. His base of support will watch this video, turn to their girlfriend's boyfriend, pass the soy, and think The Zohran must be on steroids or something to lift so much.
Also, who cares how much he can bench when third graders can't mutilate their genitals in the name of socialism? Priorities, people!
DISCLAIMER: The 135 pounds is an official number. Some are saying he struggled to put up 95 pounds.
For a Democrat Party that has been hemorrhaging young men, mostly because it spent the last few decades letting young men know how much it hates them and that they have no right to an opinion on anything ever, their posterchild The Zohran will do little to help shake that belief Democrats, especially the socialist ones, are a bunch of betas and pussyboys.
This incident was so embarrassing, the worst person you know made a valid argument.
It's easy to talk, it's hard to carry the burden.
This guy can't bench his own body weight, let alone carry the weight of leading the most important city in the world. https://t.co/kKB61LGojY

Eric Adams comes over the top with a new nickname for The Zohran: "Mamscrawny." That one's gonna leave a mark.
64 vs. 33. A lifetime of hard work vs. a silver spoon. The results speak for themselves.
The weight of the job is too heavy for “Mamscrawny.” The only thing he can lift is your taxes. pic.twitter.com/HR6fDPKn0B

Though, for the sake of providing both sides of an argument, some feel this was not as embarrassing for The Zohran as we're making it out to be:
Zohran not benching 135 isn’t a huge deal. I actually served with a few Marines who couldn’t do that and we never gave them a hard time. We didn’t want them worrying during pregnancy and we knew they’d get strong again after coming back from maternity leave.

Here's the thing I'm struggling to understand, and this is speaking as a former political consultant. Everything The Zohran does is scripted and carefully edited through a TikTok filter. How the deuce do you let him go to something called "men's day" and try to lift weights without knowing if he has any ability to do so? You don't let your candidate eat the corndog at the Iowa State Fair, and you don't let them engage in any athletic endeavors without knowing if they have the slightest bit of athletic ability.
Unless... could this have all been a campaign ploy?
Maybe it's actually a brilliantly humanizing move for "frightening radical" Zohran Mamdani to subtly reveal to voters that 60% of them - including ~20% of all females - could effortlessly beat the piss out of him in a fight.

His team of consultants and campaign ops probably saw that something called a "men's day" was happening in Brooklyn and assumed it would be men reading poems about how ashamed they are of being men. They figured if The Zohran showed up, he could check a box and it would disprove that Democrats (especially the socialist ones) have a problem with men. They never fathomed that there might be feats of strength.
Cut to the media reporting that Republicans are seizing on The Zohran being a weakling, and that the mockery is somehow -ist. The media also doesn't understand how they're hemorrhaging support.
