State lawmakers in Idaho mulled how to put better restrictions on how much control teachers' unions have over school districts. The problem with this, however, is that teachers' unions are often infested with communists, and communists don't like it when you try to enforce parental rights.
Sen. Janie Ward-Engelking argued against the bill, as her arrogance believes she knows what's best for students than parents themselves.
According to Idaho Statesman:
“When your children walk into our classroom, they become ours, and we listen to their fears, we dry their tears, we celebrate their successes, and yes, we find a new way when they fail,” she said. “And as you know, throughout this country, teachers have stood in the line of fire to shield your children, and they would do it in a heartbeat, because those kids in that classroom, they’re ours. They’re ours, too.”
No. They are not, in fact, theirs.
She warned that this proposal would drive teachers away. She called it a punitive bill that perpetuated the feeling that teachers aren’t valued in Idaho.
“In just two days, I’ve heard from hundreds of teachers who say we can’t take it anymore. Why does the Idaho Legislature hate public education and public school teachers?” she said. “I don’t have an answer for them.”
Why do so many teachers make education all about them? If their priority is to ensure excellence in the education department, that has nothing to do with political influence on school districts.
The bill would regulate how teacher union funds are spent, including restricting political involvement, while also decreasing influence on school districts. This is an objectively good thing, and we could almost be certain that if teachers' unions were infested with Republicans, those opposing this bill would change their minds. However, because these unions are leftist cesspools, this makes this noncontroversial bill controversial — and the fact that many teachers frame it as some teachers' rights issue — while believing they have some part-time parental right over the student — tells you all you need to know.
In order to make education great again, it is time to defund the teachers’ unions.
