A simple Google search will tell you that only 1% of Americans lack some form of identification. This is why it is a lie when the left tells you voter ID is racist. And while some are disingenuous in this matter and know this is not a real issue at hand, others are more naive and truly believe Black people are too incompetent to obtain such documents, despite no data supporting it.

Democrat Rep. Shomari Figures tried to convince a church to oppose voter ID. In order to prove his point, which was extremely lacking, he asked everyone who did not have identification to raise their hand. Subsequently, no one raised their hand. This is not surprising if you understand that almost every adult in existence has an ID. In fact, you cannot function in society if you do not prove you are who you say you are. Do people like Figures truly believe there is a statistically significant number of people out there without this government document?

Be so for real.

Claiming Black people are too incompetent to obtain an ID is nothing but a racist lie. How did the left even come up with that? There is zero data to support that claim, and it is painfully racist.

To claim that skin color dictates your competence to obtain such documents is deeply deranged and not rooted in reality. But they do not say this because it is based on any evidence; they say this because, to win elections, the last thing they need is voter identification. Or at the very least, it hurts the left’s chances of winning. If noncitizens are in fact voting, which it would not be surprising if they were, it is pretty evident that it largely benefits Democrats. This is why it would make sense as to why they oppose such legislation.

While it was a nice try for Figures to try to prove to church attendees why they should not support voter ID, the left fools no one. Not only is it an extremely popular legislation among both sides of the political spectrum, but most people also have an ID. The fact that the best argument they got is to make this about skin color tells you all you need to know.
