It's been a minute since we've heard from Virginia's Lt. Governor Winsome Sears. I'm not a Virginia resident, so I only get the media hits. The last one that stands out was Sears wrecking Dana Bash's sour-looking face. But Sears was a guest on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday. Either she's going to be making more appearances from here on out. Or liberal bookers are going to avoid her like the plague because she's too effective.

The Nashville Shooter came up. While there is a serious debate about whether we should name mass shooters at all, the left is overly concerned about making sure we get the Nashville Shooter's gender identity right. Sears segued from there ("This person murdered six people. I don't really care who you say you are.") to a strong bit about schools going out of their way to hide things from parents.

Sears has always been strong on guns. "If you're breaking into my home while I'm waiting on the police to come, I'm gonna shoot you. That's just the way it is. I'm gonna pray for you, but I'm gonna shoot you."

And the part about pot and being from Jamaica is just funny.

I know conservatives can sometimes get too excited anytime one of our own can string together a few sentences on television. Especially when even our favorites are solid on the talk, not so much the action. I'll let readers from Virginia let me know how their Lt. Governor is at getting things done.

Effective communication and being able to cross over into mainstream audiences remains an important component. In that regard, WInsome Sears crushes it.
