Math teacher put on leave for hilariously using fat people as examples on quiz questions

We live in a time where you cannot even joke about fat people. This is because, according to the left, morbid obesity is positive. You don’t have to be a fitness expert to know this is a lie. Nonetheless, a California teacher just learned this the hard way.
Math teacher at elite high school investigated over 'sexist' quiz questions including asking kids to calculate cost of 'dinner for girls who weigh 120 versus 220 pounds' https://t.co/PlLJhuRbdW

A high school teacher in San Francisco has been placed on indefinite leave after he was accused of “sexist and fat-shaming questions included on ninth-grade Algebra I quizzes.”
According to KTLA 5:
“The amount of money you spend on a date varies inversely to how much they weigh. A typical girl that weighs 120lbs will cost you $55,” the math problem reportedly read.
Students were then directed to first “derive the variation equation” and then asked how much they could expect to on a date “with Ashely who is 220lbs?” A third prompt asked students to calculate how much their date would need to weigh if they could only afford to spend $5.
In another question allegedly titled “Mr. Chan vs. The Fat Kid (part 2),” the math teacher wrote, “The fat kid from last time wouldn’t be quiet about the candy I was eating in front of him, so I punted him into the air.”
Were these questions inappropriate for the classroom? Some might say yes. Are the people overreacting a little? Sure. Is some criticism fair? Maybe. But is this worthy of a 20-year veteran educator losing his job? Very likely, no.
Given that today’s younger generation is extremely sensitive, so much so that teachers walk on eggshells because the goal post continues to change by the day, it should have been obvious that this would not go over well. When a generation has made a trait, like obesity, a victim class, that is a sign that they won't take kindly to you making math problems about fat people. This is not to say the outrage is justified or unjustified — just that the controversy was predictable.
The ninth graders were then instructed to solve equations for height and time, along with a seemingly unrelated query asking them when the last time they “gave candy to a fat kid.”
It truly is pathetic to spend so much time punishing someone for such a nonissue. All they had to do was instruct him to be more sensitive the next time, and that’s at best. Rather than do that, they have decided to keep him on leave, despite this having nothing to do with his qualifications.
A parent of one of Chan’s students who spoke to the outlet said the math teacher is generally well liked. Their teen characterized him as someone who wanted to make math fun and that they considered the quiz questions to be like “dad jokes” made in poor taste.
This is what we call “first-world issues.” The kids have no real problems, so they just make them up. This is what happens when victimhood becomes a social contagion. In reality, though, this is such a non-issue in the history of issues, and I hope this man gets his job back.
