For a group of people who claim to accurately identify the communists taking over the Democrat Party as "communist" is akin to "McCarthyism," the left and the media (but I repeat myself) love questioning if you are now or have ever been MAGA. The latest target is pop star Tate McRae, who "doesn't outright deny" being MAGA. Please know I recognize how every word that I'm about to write sounds stupid.

McRae is Canadian, so the extent to which her opinion about American politics matters is for the sake of our own amusement. I don't know what she sings. I only know of her because she was my niece's favorite artist for a month or so, but now my niece is into, quote, "old" music like Avril Lavigne, Limp Bizkit, and Good Charlotte.

(If that last sentence doesn't piss you off enough, consider that those artists are to my niece what The Beatles and The Stones are to us)

This story involves two other alleged MAGA sympathizers: Morgan Wallen and Jack Hughes. Morgan Wallen is a country star who is considered "MAGA" because he got drunk and dropped an n-word (soft g) with his friends. No, really. That's the reason, other than him also being a redneck.

Jack Hughes won the gold medal in hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics. He's considered MAGA because he laughed at a joke President Donald Trump told.

McRae's "MAGA ties" are that she recorded a duet with Wallen and may or may not be dating Hughes. That's it. That's why she keeps getting asked if she's MAGA in every other interview she does, and is accused of being MAGA by the internets. Most recently, she addressed those ties in an interview with Variety.

Yes, as shocking as it sounds, Variety attempted to create anti-Trump clickbait. Only, unlike the actress who plays Supergirl, McRae didn't take the bait and had a rather reasonable response.

I like to say my piece through organizations I support and the environment that I have on tour. I think it’s pretty obvious what kind of person I am and the things I support. And I hope that my fans can see that through the things that I’m putting my energy towards.

That is a fair answer. I don't find it shocking that pop stars vote for different people than I do. It's a dumb question to begin with, just because she has friends who may or may not have opinions the journalismer at Variety doesn't like. But while it's a fair answer to people who aren't complete retards, the media claims she "doesn't outright deny" being MAGA as online commentators say her silence "speaks volumes."

Tate McRae is in the Sydney Sweeney loop. Random idiots in the comments have the same dumb opinion. It's the same dumb opinion shared by the leftists who work in the media. The media turns it into a "news" story. The person now has to address the charges leveled by random idiots who commented on a post and denounce Trump, or the media will never ever ever stop asking you about it.

As of now, McRae doesn't find it necessary to alienate fans who may have a different opinion than her. The rub is not wanting to alienate fans who may have a different opinion than you ALSO makes you MAGA in the eyes of the media.
