It is one thing to have a productive conversation on the job market. But to claim higher unemployment rates are somehow correlated with parents turning into murderers is a level of insanity that no one knew was possible.

According to Florida Democrat Angie Nixon, “We are witnessing parents turning the gun on their children then turning the gun on themselves because they are losing their jobs.” But if this were true, why is there no evidence of it? And the fact that she claimed, “it does not have to be this way,” makes it all the worse.

Wow.

Firstly, even if this is true and parents are suddenly committing murder-suicides at a higher rate, losing jobs would not, by itself, prove that unemployment caused it. People don't just do those things because of unemployment status. That is not a thing. And for her to imply that many parents somehow think murder-suicide is better than applying for unemployment proves how delusional and deranged she truly is. Does she really think people are as stupid as her?

The other problem is that people will hear those comments and believe them. They will think that Trump’s economy is responsible for these alleged murder-suicides, despite there being no evidence to back that claim up.

Reporters must start calling out crap like this. It is totally unacceptable for the fake news media to allow these baseless claims on air without pushing back on them. But they don't care, clearly, so long as it makes the other side look bad. What a total disgrace.
