Ron Howard Laughably "Explains" Why Hollywood Hates Trump
Leftists can't win the 2020 election by running against the Trump economy. It's too good and huge (see Jim Cramer: Trump’s Economy “The Best Numbers of Our Lives” and American’s More Optimistic About Economy Since Pre-9/11). So the plan seems to be to downplay it. Claim it's not as good as it actually is. As evident by this recent Ron Howard tweet. Who we'll henceforth refer to as Clint Howard's brother. CHB for short.
That article linked, if you're wondering, is from Washington Post, which says that sure, the economy is good, but is it as good as it was under Obama and Clinton?
The Dow Jones industrial average has gained about 45 percent since Trump was sworn in nearly three years ago. The Dow was up about 53 percent at this point in Obama’s presidency and a whopping 57 percent in Clinton’s early years in office. How much credit presidents deserve for market gains — or losses — remains a big debate, but Trump points to the stock market frequently as a barometer of how he’s doing as president.
Mayhaps. One can also argue any positive economic news came the two Democrat presidents WORKING WITH Republican majorities in the house and the senate. Who were also there to block the Democrat presidents from living out their socialist wet dreams. Also, let's not forget that Trump's tax cuts have allowed Americans to KEEP more of their own money. Can we say that for Obama and Clinton? No. No we cannot.
I'm not a math guy. Neither is Clint Howard's brother. But we're not here to talk about numbers. We're here to make fun of celebrities and the in-kind donations they keep sending to Trump 2020. Because CHB mixed it up with Trump supporters. This tweet was funnier than the time Fonzie went water skiing in his leather jacket and board shorts.
Let's say, for sake of argument, everything Clint Howard's brother had to say about Donald Trump was true. He and 99.86% of his colleagues would say it about any Republican president. It could be the Jeb Bush/@RadioFreeTom on Twitter administration. CHB would say that Jeb! was dishonest, self-serving, and morally bankrupt. No matter how moderate or liberal the Republican is, the attacks from the entertainment industry would be the same. It's one of the reasons we got Trump. Voters figure since they're going to say the same things no matter who the nominee was, let's really give them something to talk about.
Suck it, Opie.
