Nothing says “eat the rich” like pouring a bag of manure under a Christmas tree at the Ritz Hotel in London. This is totally rational and logical behavior that will definitely convince the wealthy people staying at the hotel why they should, in fact, eat themselves.
A group of “anti-rich” protesters took it upon themselves to dump manure under The Ritz’s Christmas tree in a pathetic effort to stick it to the “obscenely wealthy.”
According to the Independent:
Footage shared by new protest group Take Back Power on Wednesday (3 December) shows three protesters loitering in the Mayfair hotel’s lobby before they pulled out plastic bags filled with dung and emptied their contents on the floor.
The guards then rushed in to pull the protesters away. The activists also protested outside the hotel, unfurling banners which read 'Inequality is s***”.
So, what would the solution be here? For everyone to be equally poor? The jealousy is screaming volumes with this one, and it’s comical because this is their definition of making the world a better place. However, we can be almost certain that many of the hotel guests who are “obscenely wealthy” have done more for their country than these protesters could ever imagine.
There are jobs because of the “obscenely wealthy.” So, if we took away the “obscenely wealthy,” you would also take away a lot of jobs. And I am no economist, but this is what you would call “common sense,” which apparently does not seem to be too common these days.
This is just another case of classic spoiled brats engaging in tantrums like toddlers because they don’t want to work for a living. Rather, they believe they are entitled to the fruits of other people’s labor. To them, that is the definition of compassion. But in reality, they could not be more narcissistic or spoiled if they tried.
Take Back Power says it’s a new “non-violent civil resistance group” which is calling for the government to “tax extreme wealth”.
How exactly would this extreme tax make them better off? Do they truly think the government will use that money better than those who actually worked for it? That is unclear, but we can be almost certain that the more money the government takes, the worse off everyone is. Weird how that always seems to play out.
That being said, some people are rich. That is a thing. And the sooner these activists realize that, the better off they will be. Until then, don’t expect anything more than screaming tantrums about why they deserve a thing or two even though they do nothing of substance for their communities.
