You really do have to hand it to CNN. They invite members of the Trump Administration to debate issues, then tell them that they're not going to debate this with them. Hence, you have Robert F Kennedy Jr attempting to argue facts and reason with an unarmed Dana Bash.

What's most amusing about this exchange is that, even though everyone outside of NYC and DC would reasonably declare RFK Jr the winner, you know Dana looked at herself in the mirror after and said, "Crushed it."

I guess Bash didn't think the media destroyed enough of its credibility during COVID, which is back in the news thanks to the Anthony Fauci "diaries." His diaries, that I still have a hard time believing are real. We're taught to be skeptical whenever something fits too neatly into our confirmation biases. There is not a single bias from that entire era that has not confirmation'd thanks to Fauci taking notes ON A GOVERNMENT COMPUTER in order to sell a book later.

Bash asked RFK to respond to her claim about vaccine hesitancy:

April 17, 2021 entry: Fauci noted a dinner and then wrote that Bash texted him supportively. The diary records: “Dana Bash sent me a text: ‘I just watched the whole Jordan thing. Again, you’re a better man than I…. As our friend Wolf Blitzer said to me yesterday – no one would have blamed you if you said simply “Mr. Jordan, go f--- yourself”’.

Whoops! My bad. That's Fauci's journal entry about Bash, a journalismer, glazing Fauci over how amazing he is and how much she and her peers hated a GOP congressman.

This is what Bash wanted RFK Jr wanted to defend:

April 18, 2021 entry: Fauci wrote that she texted again about media coverage of the hearing: “I received a text from Dana Bash pointing out that Vanity Fair recently had a headline that said: Jim Jordan trips over his own asshole trying to debate Anthony Fauci.”

Whoops, that's another Fauci diary entry where Dana Bash, a journalismer, kissed his heinie.

That's what you did during COVID. Now we know that Anthony Fauci, who was the expert, was lying about everything, about masks, about the social distancing, about natural immunity, about the transmission from the vaccine, about the source of COVID.

[Fauci] was lying, and you were punishing people for not trusting the experts. And now you're rolling out the experts again to talk about something that you have no personal knowledge of.

I guess we should give Bash a modicum of credit. She, if nothing else, had someone from the Trump Adminstration for her to fight with. Other Sunday morning shows didn't bother.

We could have a discussion about Fauci, dishonesty, and all the ways we were lied to about *waves hands* all of it having to do with the pandemic. Instead, it's more important for the media to defend Anthony Fauci's reputation.

The reputation that was created by the media.
