There is only one group of people who believe the SAVE Act is unpopular -- Democratic lawmakers. This means that while leftist elected officials do not believe you deserve a secure election, their voters do. In fact, this is an insanely popular policy position, and anyone who claims otherwise is a lying buffoon with sinister motives. Rep. Ayanna Pressley is one of those clowns.

According to Pressley, the Trump Administration is always making up problems that do not exist. And because it is already illegal for illegals to vote in federal elections, she believes voter ID is something she should fight against. It is unclear what people get out of this, given that the purpose is to uphold election integrity. Still, she is not doing this because she cares so deeply about the five married women in the country who are too lazy to pick up their birth certificate.

“It is already illegal for undocumented people to participate in our elections,” she said. “All this would do is create greater barriers to the ballot box,” adding that the Trump Administration knows “their agenda is unpopular and that they have not kept one promise to the American people and that the only way they can run is by rigging elections.”

And yes, she claimed requiring voter ID is akin to rigging an election.

I do not have to tell you how insane all those claims are. Firstly, just because something is already illegal on paper, that does not mean you do not instill barriers to prevent those illegal things from happening. There are many places in this country, such as California, that allow votes based on the honor system. There is not much stopping an "undocumented" individual from voting, is there?

Secondly, she has got a lot of nerve claiming Trump has yet to fulfill any of his promises. Love him or hate him, the border is, in fact, secure. That was one of the top concerns in the 2024 election, both for the president and voters; to claim otherwise or that he has done nothing on that issue is a deranged lie.

Additionally, if voter ID is so unpopular, why is it popular with all voters, including Democrats? But even more foolish than that claim is her pretending the only way Republicans can win is by rigging elections. They are the ones fighting against voter integrity. They are the ones who fight to pass universal mail-in ballots. They are the ones who care so deeply about granting citizenship to illegals. None of that is in the interest of the American people, but sure, go off, I guess.

And as you recall, it was the left who created the most undemocratic election in the 2024 presidential race by slamming the door in Biden’s face.

She concluded by stating this is all part of Trump’s “anti-freedom agenda.” That is comical because everyone knows Conservatives are the party of freedom and constitutionality, while the left hates the very premise of the founding of this great nation. That tells you all you need to know, which is that people like Pressley are hardly fighting to ensure they give the American people what they want.

That being said, the worst part about all of this is not so much that Pressley is a pathological liar, but that she actively campaigns against voters at the expense of what the American people want -- including her base. And to call this a threat to democracy would be an understatement.
