Newsweek Attempts to Portray Violent Antifa as Harmless
I don't have to tell you how Antifa butt nuggets are a bunch of violent douchemeisters. Though, apparently the lefties at Newsweek need to be told so. They seem to think the discount commie ninjas are as harmless as a Golden Retriever.
I kid you not:
These kids, most of whom were clearly overheating behind the black bandanas impractically tied across their faces, seemed enigmatic and slightly silly to me; but nothing about their posture or behavior struck me as remotely menacing. I've met golden retrievers who scared me more.I won't deny that Antifa employs physical violence and destroys property for political aims. But they typically confine their actions to throwing punches when they see the need to de-platform someone inciting violence against vulnerable populations, as one Antifa activist famously did during a TV interview with white supremacist pundit Richard Spencer in early 2017.
"When they see the need to de-platform someone?" I guess this is supposed to be justification for Antifa's dickery. They're not lashing out violently against non-violent conservatives. No, Antifa is merely "de-platforming" racists with their fists.
Look, I don't like Richard Spencer any more than Antifa does. Though, unless he's coming at you with some Hitler-Fu, I see no reason to resort to fisticuffs against the guy. One can disagree with another person without cratering their face in. Apparently, this revelation has yet to reach the left.
This is the fake news of which we're constantly speaking. Lefties are perfectly happy to tell you the most violent among us are harmless. Meanwhile, if you have an R after your name, you're a "right-wing extremist" in need of a good jaw-breaking. All in a day's work for the media.
Speaking of that:
