Marco Rubio Offers Blunt Assessment: They're Coming After Everyone on the Right
It can't help but feel like we've seen this movie before. Something bad happens. There is a moment where we as a country can theoretically "come together." "Unity" is the popular buzzword. The left and the media (but I repeat myself) use the opportunity for an all-out (metaphorical) assault on anyone who disagrees with them on anything. I'll concede what happened Wednesday at the Capitol is the most extreme example we've seen. That sentence is the extent I'll concede it. Because as Sen. Marco Rubio points out, the left and the media are having less self-control than usual.
Rubio qualifies his point with a healthy denunciation of Wednesday's perpetrators. I hope enough for the folks in Palo Alto who will decide if you see this or not.

The left has decided this is an opportunity to destroy the right. So if you ever voted for Donald Trump, if you ever supported anything he did, you are just as guilty as the people who went into that Capitol.
Here's Jake Tapper to help illustrate his point.
We're beginning to see what will likely be a Herculean effort by MAGA media and certain pols to change the subject from their grotesque assault on democracy, one that resulted in bloodshed and the death of a police officer. Be aware of what they're doing as they try.

I'm not and have never been "MAGA." The extent I'm willing to delve further into that ended Thursday morning. It happened after a sports reporter was blamed for the riot because of COVID jokes. And before Joe Biden's BLM whataboutism. Many of us were outraged on Wednesday. Including many people who consider themselves "MAGA." Biden's electoral win was certified. The people responsible for Wednesday are in the process of being arrested. That story is over. Big Tech created a new story to be outraged over. Twitter banned Donald Trump for saying he wasn't going to the inauguration. There's been a near unified corporate pile-on. There's even a congresswoman who wants to expel her colleagues who didn't vote the way she wanted them to.
When they say "MAGA media," they don't just mean Trump stans. They are implying any of us who are slightly to the right of ... well, CNN. The slightest snarky criticism of a Democrat is going to lead to being lectured that "you're what caused the riot." We've seen it happen before. We're seeing it happen now. So I guess there was unity after what happened Wednesday after all. We're all unified in seeing clearly who our true opponents are for the next few years.
