I don't know what kind of world we're living in where a journalismer can't bait an actress into virtue signalling about trans issues anymore. But we apparently do. Keira Knightley (who still looks fiiiiiiiine) was asked about JK Rowling's quote, "ongoing campaign against trans people," as it relates to boycotting Harry Potter. The actress said she didn't know anything about it. Then she said, "Lol."

This interview is a perfect example of how a lot of our culture wars originate with bitterly partisan, woke, half-a-commie journalismers. When I say "the left," I don't mean everyone who votes for different people; I do recognize it's a niche group of Democrats. But that niche group happens to make up 98% of journalismers, especially the ones who do a journalism covering the entertainment industry.
Knightly wasn't being interviewed for her upcoming work on Harry Potter. She was being interviewed for a movie, The Woman in Cabin 10. Yet when the opportunity arose to interject a political agenda, the journalismer couldn't help/herself. It's not like boycotts of the Harry Potter audiobooks were in the news. The journalismer could have easily asked about Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl and something something Trump deporting people.
The journalismer didn't even ask about a topical Harry Potter story, like Rowling disemboweling Emma Watson over those same trans issues. Instead, she asked a non-sequiter hoping the actress would create content taking a shot at Rowling. Instead, Knightley said she knew nothing about the boycott. Which is very well possible. She could very well be too busy having a life.
Then she realized she should probably say something more and opted for a generic "we should all get along" message. If this were a year or two ago, that may not have been the case.
