As a huge fan of Dr. Jordan Peterson's work--his lectures, his books, and his overall message--I find it appropriate to preface this post with an empathic, "Hail Lobster!"

Now, that's out of the way. I can tell you why I've called you all here today.

When he isn't performing his duties as chancellor of Ralston college--whatever that might entail--he's been busy getting banned from Twitter. He wasn't banned in the same sense that Donald Trump was banned. But he's effectively banned after they suspended his account for a single tweet referencing the emaciated activist and actress Elliot (formerly known as Elen) Page.

Twitter gave the lobster himself a choice: delete the tweet and have your speech privileges restored or refuse and remain silenced. It was an easy choice.

Peterson isn't about to back down and cave to the censorious leftists over at Twitter, and no one who knows even the slightest bit about him would have expected anything else. He's not exactly the kind of person who would kowtow to such people--or anyone for that matter. It's part of the reason so many people appreciate him.

While Peterson may not be prepared to cave to the demands of the left, he may not have to. Elon Musk's purchase of the social media giant should be going through in the nearish future, and with Musk's position on free speech, I wouldn't be surprised to see him order the reinstatement of many accounts that have been banned, suspended, and otherwise censored or silenced by the "communist-as-fuck" company.

We'll just have to wait and see. With all the time and energy he isn't spending on reading tweets, maybe Peterson can put out another song--maybe a full album--or write another 12 rules for life.
