Illinois Lawmakers Propose 1000s Of New Woke Bills, Some Of Which More Insane Than You Could Imagine
While it’s unclear how state lawmakers even have the time or ability to come up with over 4,000 potential bills, you would at least expect the last thing they would have included would be proposed laws that would condone degeneracy and criminality. However, that is not the case, and the State of Illinois is trying to do just that.
Illinois lawmakers have proposed 4,000 bills for 2025-2026. Among these is HB3518, which would decriminalize prostitution if passed. Another bill, HB3458, proposes that mental health can be claimed as a criminal defense when committing aggravated battery against law enforcement officers. But best of all is a bill that would divert $50 million in taxpayer funds for “rehabilitating raccoons and skunks.”
House Bills in Illinois have been proposed to
- Legalize prostitution
- Make assaults on police officers legal, as long as the person assaulting the officer says they’re “having a mental episode”
- Taxpayer money to be allocated for “rehabilitating raccoons and skunks”

Again, how is it even possible to propose that many bills? That would mean over 300 bills per representative in just the state house alone. Not only does that seem impossible, but that’s insane. And by the current way the state is run, we can almost be certain the majority of these would make residents far worse off.
This does not even begin to touch the over 2,000 bills proposed by the state senate.
I don’t have to tell you why these aforementioned bills are foolish, as it does not take a genius to realize that emboldening prostitution and aggravated assault on police officers will only create more harm than good.
The former is not a victimless offense, and this will only benefit organized crime. And the latter will only increase assaults on officers, making it not only more difficult and dangerous for them to do their job, but also adding to the anti-police rhetoric in a state that has some of the worst crime rates in the country.
And don’t even get me started on the skunks and raccoons. While it’s great that lawmakers would rather help these animals than the humans they pretend to represent, there are far more important things these people should be focused on. Especially when lawmakers continually do everything in their power to increase the tax burden on residents.
It’s unclear who lawmakers intend to represent, but it’s most certainly not the people of Illinois.
