Watch: Mehdi Hasan and "Indian Mickey Rourke" put Crowder's name in their mouths...

Yesterday, SCOTUS ruled against Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship. The left had some foolish takes on that matter, including Mehdi Hasan, who tried to call out Crowder for being the son of a Canadian. However, he did not prove the point he tried to convey.
In response to Crowder’s tweet on the ruling, which stated, “There you have it, Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts just decided that little Josue born to illegal Haitians in Springfield, Ohio is just as American as you and me... because of the 14th Amendment or something,” Hasan tried to imply that this is no different than Crowder’s mother being Canadian.
“I was born in Detroit and spent 15 years of my life in Canada. I hate Canada. It is a silly place. It is not a real country, and America is the greatest country in the world,” Crowder said.
Congressman Shri Thanedar had a similar foolish take.
According to Thanedar, “Steven Crowder grew up in Canada, where he lived throughout his childhood, and didn't move to America until he was an adult. But because he was born in America, he enjoys the benefits of birthright citizenship. Instead of using that benefit to try to make our country better, he uses racist rhetoric to try to deprive others of the benefits of birthright citizenship that he gets to enjoy.”
The problem with calling objections to the SCOTUS ruling racist is that that could not be further from the truth.
“Maybe I am not using racist rhetoric to destroy the country; maybe I watched a country like Canada, through no choice of mine, get destroyed. I also buried relatives who would still have lived in the United States if they had access to modern medical care compared to what we had in Canada in the 90s,” Crowder said. “This is what the left does. They just question motives. They are hoping you will question motives. They don't actually think it is racist for someone to say this is the greatest country and other countries are third-world crapholes. They can't because they are fine with people saying other countries are the greatest country in the world. The counterargument cannot be racist.”
