To claim “there's no 'but' when your child is in a coffin” would be an understatement. It is unclear why Democratic elected officials fight for foreign nationals at the expense of American lives, but that is, unfortunately, the reality we live in. No one knows that better than Angel Mom Jessica Gorman.
Democrats have to sit there and TAKE IT while the mother of Sheridan Gorman brings RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION to Congress:

Jessica is the mother of Sheridan Gorman. Sheridan was murdered by an illegal immigrant who had an outstanding warrant after he committed crimes in this country post facto. Rather than deport him the moment he committed the first crimes, officials allowed him back on the streets of Chicago due to asinine sanctuary policies. This resulted in the death of Sheridan.
ICE claims he should have never been released after he was arrested for shoplifting in 2023. Thanks to the left, he was, and it would be only a couple of years later that we would take the life of an innocent college student for no reason at all. The fact that this does not cause outrage for elected officials tells you all you need to know -- which is that the left could not care less about the lives of innocent Americans if it is at the expense of ensuring some humans are illegal.
According to Jessica, she is not racist or xenophobic, but because her daughter was killed by a man who should have never stepped foot on this soil, she will have to spend the rest of her days fighting to prevent this tragedy from ever happening again. What was astonishing to her, however, was that it is only Republicans who care, while the left cannot look her in the eye and tell her why her daughter's life was less important than a criminal alien.
To claim that this was 00% preventable would be putting it lightly, which makes it all the more infuriating. Sheridan’s life mattered, and the man who killed her, for no reason at all, should have never mattered to leftist officials. But because the left believes that just because someone is born in a crappy country, that somehow affords them special privileges, despite what it does for national security. It truly is a disgrace, and more people should be outraged by what the left has done.
