The gossip around the right-wing water cooler for the past few years is that, as police warn body cameras continue to protect officers from Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) lying about policing while effectively showing what police see when they have a split second to make a life or death decision, the media and Democrats (but I repeat myself) would turn against body cameras. SHOCKER: Politico reports that's EXACTLY what Democrats are doing, as there is a push for ICE Agents to start wearing them.

Here's Politico reporting over the weekend on Democrats' sudden concern that ICE-worn body cameras might work against the agitators, necessitating ICE agents to wear body cameras.

That is a collection of Politico headlines dating back to 2015 when Democrats were pushing for police to wear body cameras. There is also a 2014 Politico article that says the Obama White House backed body cameras after, quote, "the police shooting of an unarmed teen in Ferguson, Missouri."

You remember Mike Brown and "hands up, don't shoot," right? Funny, because had Officer Darren Wilson been wearing a body camera then, we would have known that Brown fought Wilson in the SUV and fought over his gun. Also, Mike Brown never had his hands up, didn't say don't shoot, and was aggressively moving towards Wilson. In other words, we would have known that the entire "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" activist schtick and all the policies that came after it were built on malarky and poppycock.

Unfortunately, as is usual, the apology and retraction are never as loud as the fake news.

Also, there is rarely ever an apology or a retraction.

Side note: "Legal observers?" Not a thing.

Democrats are worried that ICE agents might be able to use the same tools that "legal observers" are using to interfere with law enforcement and dox ICE agents, because "legal observers" as well as Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) don't think there should be any immigration laws enforced.

Democrats have proposed legislation to limit ICE’s use of facial recognition, but the proposals are unlikely to advance without bipartisan support.

The tl;dr is that Democrats pushed to force ICE agents to wear body cameras as a gotcha. Republicans and DHS said, "Bet." Now Dems, journalismers, legal observers, and every commie in between are realizing that if ICE Agents are allowed to defend themselves and Americans get to see who the agitators ackshually are, all the propaganda against the Trump Adminstration enforcing immigration laws goes away.

Exit question: How soon before Chuck Schumer says forcing ICE Agents to wear body cameras would literally be Jim Crow 2.0 literally?
