There’s nothing more irritating than a non-Christian parading around with purple hair, pretending to stand on the moral high ground while lecturing devoted Christians.
Rep. Rosa DeLauro expressed confusion over how Speaker Johnson can profess faith in the Bible while opposing the Democratic effort to provide healthcare to undocumented immigrants.
According to DeLauro, the Bible emphasizes social justice, and she argues that Exodus commands us to provide healthcare to undocumented immigrants. While she sometimes swaps the term “illegal alien” with “the poor,” her meaning is clear.
Even if this weren’t about undocumented immigrants—which it certainly is—I don’t think there’s ever been a time in history when Democrats have improved healthcare for anyone. Well, maybe for those who don’t pay for it, but that’s neither here nor there, as overall the system seems to get worse every year. But I digress.
It’s extremely irritating to see a purple-haired boomer lecturing one of the most religious men in our federal government, especially when it’s clear that the only “religion” she follows is wokeness, as evidenced by everything about her.
"But Jesus replied to them, You are wrong because you know neither the Scriptures nor God’s power." This passage speaks for itself, as the Bible clearly warns against people like her attempting to deceive Christians. What makes it particularly pathetic, however, is that she persuaded no one—absolutely no one. And while some might call her effort “cute,” it’s anything but that, since she mocks your faith as if she understands it.
That said, her words reveal her naivety rather than shaking the convictions of those she lectures. Faith like theirs isn’t easily swayed—unlike hers, given how progressivism constantly shifts its moral high ground.
