🚨NEW: Jasmine Crockett claims committing crimes *doesn't* make person "CRIMINAL" — says it depends on "MINDSET"🚨
"Just because someone has committed a crime, it doesn't make them a criminal."
"That is completely different. Being a criminal is more so about your mindset."… pic.twitter.com/9HmuF82XOD

\Jasmine Crockett has plenty of questionable traits, but this might be her most foolish one yet. According to the Democrats’ rising star, committing crimes doesn’t actually make you a criminal—even though the definition is literally in the word. Instead, she claims it’s more about one’s “mindset.” Because, apparently, having the mindset of a criminal before committing crimes is what really matters. Makes perfect sense, right?
Why don’t we break it down for her?
According to everyone’s favorite chatbot, ChatGPT, "crime comes from the Latin crimen, meaning 'charge, guilt, offense,'" and "criminal comes from the Medieval Latin criminalis, meaning 'of or pertaining to crime.'" In modern English, a crime is "an act that breaks a law and is punishable by the state," while a criminal is "(noun) a person who has committed a crime; (adjective) relating to crime."
When asked if it has anything to do with mindset, ChatGPT said, "No — the words 'crime' and 'criminal' have nothing to do with mindset in their definitions. They are based purely on actions. Crime is an act that violates the law, and a criminal is a person who has committed such an act."
Now that we’ve cleared up the obvious, I’m struggling to understand where she got the idea that a person is only a criminal if they feel like one. However, given how often feelings seem to shape reality for some on the left—such as when someone feels like a woman—this shouldn’t be too surprising. So, according to this logic, one must feel like they’ve committed a crime before it actually becomes illegal. Does that clear things up?
And don’t you just love how people like her love to dance around definitions and invent phrases instead of saying what everyone already knows to be true? What kind of nonsense is “criminally impacted”? My goodness. No one thought she could get any dumber than she already was, but here she is, continually surpassing everyone’s low expectations.
If I were to guess, I’d bet she means the “criminally impacted” are simply those who committed the crime—aka, the criminals. There’s no reason to make this complicated, but how else could the left defend their asinine positions on defunding law enforcement and implementing pro-criminal policies? They can’t, which is precisely why the left, time and again, attempts to redefine words that no one ever had trouble understanding. Fortunately, given that this may be her dumbest take yet, we can almost be certain this video will soon be lost in the interweb. Nonetheless, a criminal is a criminal, and the sooner she realizes that, the better off she’ll be.
